[BIM Software Implementation Case] Dyden Aqua Company New Factory
Achieving a reduction in work time through process optimization! A case study of the largest manufacturer of glass filters.
Omnicon Corporation was responsible for the detailed design of the framework and equipment supports for Dryden Aqua, one of the largest manufacturers of glass filtration systems. Advancing design and technical development simultaneously was a challenging task, but by using Tekla Structures, the design of all steel components was carried out accurately, and the assembly work on-site was completed without any issues. All steel components and mechanical parts were modeled in 3D, and this information was utilized in the manufacturing process as well. By sharing the project details with all stakeholders, it became easy to implement changes, and the work at the construction site proceeded smoothly. The key to success was the reduction of work time through process optimization. Not only the BIM model but also all drawings and documents for production were created using Tekla Structures, eliminating unnecessary time spent on confirming design changes and modifications. All components, from beams, columns, trusses, and hoppers to stairs, ladders, railings, and checker plates, were inputted into Tekla Structures.
